Tips on how to stay organised as a blogger

Being self-employed can be hard because you have no one else to tell you what to do and how to do it. Even though I'm not a "full-time" blogger I'm a part-time blogger and ever since I've started doing this part-time I have learnt what works and what doesn't work to stay organised.

I personally never use to be an 'organised' person when I was younger, I'm stubborn as hell and whenever I was told what to do I would never do it. I use to always do things in my own time at my own paste, I think it's mainly because I've never found anything that I was passionate about.

The best thing about starting this blog really made me get my shit together and think about my future. I think that's it's also important to find something you are truly passionate about because if you aren't passionate about something then it's even harder to stay organised.

Set work hours
Working from home can be really hard to know when to turn off and to stop working. I'm still working on this tip because sometimes I can stay on my laptop for about 12-15 hours a day. I find having set hours of working helps your body to let you know when it's actually time to stop working.

Create a time block out of your days to have an hour break and that should be your lunch break. Go outside and give your eyes a break from staring at a computer screen, Play with your dog if you have one and stay off your phone.

Keep a notepad for creative ideas
I always get creative ideas and sometimes I forgot to write everything down and then I can never remember what I was going to post for the following week. I love using the notes section on my phone because even if I have an idea in the middle of the night I can get up and open up notes and it's super useful to have.

Have a calendar
Having a calendar will be your best friend if you interested in becoming a blogger. Having sponsored posts and other posts can become really overwhelming when you don't know which ones to post first when you start to write everything down everything becomes a little less overwhelming.

Checklists
Checklists will be your another one of your best friend. I like to create my checklist the night before the following day when I know I'm going to be working on my blog. Creating checklists are a perfect way to stay on top of your work and be productive.
